Client Accounts

With LabBoard, your clients can have a LabBoard account for your lab. This will allow them to submit their sample information to your lab and to receive sample results online, with no added effort from you.

When your clients log into LabBoard, they will see three tabs: LabBoard, Samples and Account.

Clients of labs using LabBoard can sign up to submit samples via the LabBoard login page of their service laboratory.

To Create an account:

  1. On the login page, click the “Create a New Account” link
  2. Complete the form by entering your first and last names, and contact information.
    • This contact information will be provided to the service laboratory and will be used for their internal billing purposes and may be used as shipping information for those labs who ship their products to customers once completed.
  3. Finally, you will be asked to create a unique user name and choose a password.
    Although LabBoard does not require you to use any special characters, we recommend you create a strong password following the generally accepted rules of:
    • It should contain at least eight characters.
    • It should contain a mix of four different types of characters (uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numerals and punctuation symbols).
    • It should not be a name, a slang word, or any word in the dictionary.

Client Sample Submission

To submit samples to a lab through LabBoard, clients must create and log into an account at that lab’s LabBoard URL. Once logged in, the following steps will help a client submit a sample for service.

  1. To submit samples, click the blue Submit Samples button on the right side of the screen.
  2. Select the service type of the sample you whish to submit and click the Start button beside that service type.
  3. Complete the sample details for your sample by filling in the sample table and answering the other questions in the sample submission form.
  4. To submit multiple samples at one time, click the Add Another Sample button below the sample table.
  5. When you have completed the sample submission form, click the Next button.
  6. If this is your first sample submission, you will be asked to complete your payment information billing address. If you have previously submitted samples, you are simply required to verify the billing address.
  7. Select the payment option you wish to use for payment. Often, labs provide you with payment options of PO or Account number. This information depends on the Lab’s billing procedures and LabBoard does not control these options.
  8. When you have completed all of the billing information, click the Submit button.
  9. You will be provided with a receipt for the submission of your samples. This receipt will also be sent to you via email. Most labs request that you print this receipt and submit it with your samples for delivery to the lab.

When you are logged into LabBoard click on the Samples tab to see a list of all of the samples in your LabBoard history.

Looking for a particular sample? You can search by sample name or sample ID, to find a specific sample. Simply click on the sample number and open up the sample detail. Within the sample detail screen, you will find the status of the sample as well as results files or shipping information for completed samples.

Clicking on a sample ID from within the Samples tab or a Samples search will provide access to any available sample results. Click on Results on the right side of the screen to gain access to HTML or FTP links to results or to download attached results files.
